Ambar offers “Balkan dining without limits,” which sounds pretty exciting to us. And we’re feeling hungry, so let’s see what’s on offer: plenty of rich and savory flavors originating from the Balkan Peninsula. Indeed, Ambar balances hearty, comforting food with flavorful twists to produce the perfect menu to sample with friends or family. We’ve been eyeing up Sudzuk beef flatbread, which comes with sheep cheese and a drizzle of truffle oil. We’ll pair ours with a glass of sangria, please!

Let’s talk about ala brunch specifically. For 90 minutes, you can indulge in unlimited “Build Your Own” mimosas or bottomless Levantine Bloody Marys with Mediterranean spices. Looking for a little spice with your brunch? Head to dLeña. This Mexican cocina, run by Chef Richard Sandoval, offers a modern approach to traditional Mexican cuisine. And it’s another DC restaurant which follows through on the promise of its name: “leña” means firewood in Spanish, and the entirety of dLeña is arranged around a large wood-burning grill.

Their two-hour brunch is available every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm, so you and your party have plenty of time to enjoy an indulgent Mexican meal. Guests can try unlimited (and handcrafted!) tequila Bloody Marys and a variety of margaritas to tantalize their taste buds. Then there’s unlimited (yes, unlimited) food – in other words, time to grab those stretchy pants! For those wanting a dry experience, food-only brunch is also available at dLeña. 6. Lyle’s – Dupont Circle

Brunch is available from 11 am to 3 pm every weekend, making Lyle’s a stellar spot for late risers (especially if you were out on the town the night before).
